During severe weather, most damage to property occurs due to falling trees and branches. High winds and saturated soil conditions can cause limbs to weaken and tree roots to fail. Branches may be snapped free during storms or an entire tree may fall, resulting in power outages, property damage, and even personal injury.

ArborNature's mid-island location provides us with the unique ability to mobilize crews and equipment to address the emergency needs of clients in storm-damaged areas as quickly as possible. Once emergency services are completed, crews begin the process of clean up and repair on storm damaged trees and plants. Even if your trees do not exhibit obvious damage, it is important to have them inspected by a certified arborist who may detect symptoms and conditions that could lead to problems in the future.

Our arborists will provide treatment recommendations on storm damaged trees and plants based on the type and extent of the damage, plant health, species considerations, and potential for a recurrence of failure. When pruning is recommended to restructure the crown, a process known as crown restoration, the tree will often require pruning over a period of years to restore it back to a desirable form and a healthy structure.

Following storms, trees that are leaning usually indicate significant root damage. Small trees and plants may be successfully straightened, however, larger trees could pose a risk for future failure. These trees will require a thorough evaluation by our certified arborists to determine whether removal or treatment is necessary.
